Located at the intersection of Jingzhou, Jingmen and Qianjiang in central China’s Hubei province, Chang Lake is the third largest lake in Hubei.
Covering an area of 122-150 square kilometers, Chang Lake has a storage capacity of 271 million cubic meters. It stretches from Zhujiachang in Jingzhou in the south to the Hou Port in Shayang in the north. The distance from east to west is 30km, while the maximum width from south to north is 18 km. The drainage area of the lake is 2265 square kilometers, and around 70% of the lake is located in Shayang.(hubei.gov.cn by Mao Huifang)
