Futou Lake, the fourth largest lake in central China’s Hubei province, occupies an area of 161 square kilometers.
Futou Lake first gets its name from the Futou Mountain to the northeast of it, and now it has changed its name into Zishan Lake.
Located at the intersection of Jiayu, Jiangxia and Xian’an, it is 28 km to the northeast of Jiayu County in Xianning.
The drainage area is 1238 square kilometers, and the lake surface is 216 square kilometers. Due to inflow from runoffs, the water level in the lake can be as high as 24.3 meters.(hubei.gov.cn by Mao Huifang)
