Ce Lake, formerly known as Qi Lake, is located at Xishui County of Central China’s Hubei Province, with an area of 11.14 square kilometers.

It is a lake which can independently take in and send out water in Yangtze River system, and also is the largest lake in Xishui County.

Ce Lake has 69 species of rare fishes like herrings, grass carps, silver carps, bighead carps, bream fishes, gurnards, catfishes, mandarin fishes, soft-shelled turtles and perches, etc. Especially, Maoshan crabs are renowned at home and abroad.

The existing birds at Ce Lake are ducks, cormorants, gulls, kingfishers, swan geese, cygnets, white egrets, herons, white storks, black storks and pelicans, etc.

Ce Lake exists vertebrates of 59 categories, 127 genuses, and 189 species, and vascular plants of 88 categories, 262 genuses, and 384 species.
