Hubei's large areas will see high temperatures ranging from 35 to 37 degrees Celsius over the next three days, local meteorological authorities said on August 7.

The maximum temperature in downtown Wuhan, capital city of central China’s Hubei, will rise to 37 degrees Celsius, the observatory warned.

Some areas may see short-term rain, thunderstorm and gale, according to the observatory.

Typhoon Lekima is expected to land in the east part of China, along with heavy winds and rainfall to hit Zhejiang, Shanghai, Fujian, Jiangsu and Shandong.

Local governments are required to prepare for emergency response and disaster rescue for possible natural disasters caused by Lekima. And tourists should keep off scenic spots in the affected regions.
