16th Hubei (Wuhan)-Taiwan Week to open in July

The 16th Hubei (Wuhan)-Taiwan Week is slated for run from July 8 to 12 in Hubei, and now the preparatory work is ready, said the Hubei Provincial Government Information Office on the June 27 at a press conference.
This year’s Week is hosted by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, the Hubei Provincial Government and the Wuhan Municipal Government. 13 events have been designed with the main session in Wuhan and a parallel session in Huangshi City. The participants are expected to reach some 800 people, including about 400 from Taiwan.
The opening ceremony and Cross-Strait Entrepreneur Summit, and signing ceremony for the Taiwan-funded project and the Taiwan youth recruitment are scheduled on July 9 in Wuhan.
Focusing on high-tech industries such as information industry, financial services, biomedicine, energy conservation and environmental protection, activities like the summit forum on  Cross-straits emerging industry cooperation, seminar on energy conservation and environmental protection industry cooperation, forum on financial services cooperation and innovation and other specific sessions on economic and trade cooperation will be organized during the Week.
In promoting youth and grassroots exchanges, related forums, specialized job fairs, innovation and entrepreneurship competition and the Red T Fashion Festival will be rolled out.
At present, Hubei (Wuhan)-Taiwan Week has become a comprehensive platform to facilitate exchanges and cooperation in various fields between Hubei and Taiwan as well as to deepen the economic and social integration of the two sides. (hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
