Cao Guangjing meets with delegation of Peruvian regions

On June 21, Cao Guangjing, vice-governor of Hubei Province met with the delegation of Peruvian regions, in Wuhan, capital of central China’s Hubei Province. At the meeting, Hubei signed a cooperation intention agreement of friendly exchange relationship with Tacna and Moquegua of Peru.

Cao Guangjing stated that Hubei is an essential province in central China with convenient transportation, solid industrial and agricultural foundation, rich historical and cultural resources, as well as strong scientific and educational strength, relying on Golden Waterway of the Yangtze River,which creates a new highland for inland opening-up. And Peru features abundant mineral and fishery resources. Hubei and Peru enjoy strong economic complementarity and vast potential for cooperation. From January to April this year, the total import-export volume between the two sides reached 170 million U.S. dollars.

Cao added that this visit was supposed to be an opportunity to push the exchanges and cooperation between Hubei and Peru to a new level. Hubei would focus on creating a better business environment, so as to boost the high-quality development of Hubei.

Eduardo Yong Motta, the chairman of Peru-China Cultural Association, expressed that exchanges with Hubei in more fields could be further strengthened and win-win cooperation could be achieved between both sides.
