2019 World Stamp Exhibition comes to the end in Wuhan

The 2019 World Stamp Exhibition flag was handed over to London, where the 2020 event will be host, at the closing ceremony on June 16, in Wuhan.
 
2019 FIP General World Stamp Exhibition (WSE), held in the central China’s Wuhan City, came to the last day on June 16, with total visitors hitting record high at nearly 400,000 people.
 
At the closing ceremony, FIP President Bernard Beston issued Wuhan Declaration and announced the list of competition winners. Then the 2019 World Stamp Exhibition flag was handed over to London, where the 2020 event will be hosted.
 
In addition, A post office to commemorate the 2019 WSE was also unveiled at the closing ceremony and it will permanently settle in the Future City, Wuhan East Lake High-Tech Zone.
 
This year’s stamp exhibition aroused a high level of concern and interest among the philatelists at home and abroad. It has exhibited a total of around 4,700 frames of exhibits from 84 countries and regions, seeing the record participants. 166 international reviewers and collectors participated in the judging process, and 156 postal collections won the prizes.
 
During the exhibition, a batch of precious stamps with Chinese characters were displayed. The United Nations, Australia, New Zealand, Kyrgyzstan, Indonesia, and Hong Kong SAR released special new stamps. (hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
