Wuhan, capital of central China’s Hubei Province, will introduce more face recognition technology equipment at railway stations, while rolling out QR code ticket scanning system at Wuhan Tianhe International Airport, according to the latest report on December 4, 2018.

With more than 300 recognition technology equipment introduced at 50 railway stations before the Spring Festival, passengers simply need to insert their tickets, along with a second-generation ID card into a checking machine, and face the camera for a few seconds while passing through the gate, which saves manpower and avoids errors in manual checks.

In June 2018, the QR code ticket scanning system was carried out at Wuhan Tianhe International Airport. Passengers can use their ID cards to purchase e-tickets to check in and get QR codes, via airline official websites and official mobile APP, etc. They can also choose their airline seats, offering another quicker option for passengers to get their tickets checked.
