At the first China International Import Expo held in Shanghai on November 5-10, the China Pavilion embraces many elements of Hubei Province.

Compressible models of the "Fuxing" (Renaissance) class bullet train and China's homegrown large passenger plane C919, which represent the "Chinese speed" and "Chinese height", incarnate Hubei’s elements. Many drivers of the Fuxing class bullet train come from Wuhan. And nearly half of the China high-speed railways are surveyed and designed by China Railway Siyuan Survey and Design Group Co.,Ltd which is located in Wuhan. The chief designer of C919 plane also comes from Wuhan. More than 100 parts and components on the aircraft are developed by Wuhan Hangda Aero Science&Technology Development Co.,Ltd.

Nearly 10 central enterprises in Wuhan participated in its construction , including the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Zhuhai Port built by China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd., the main girder and pylons of Jiuzhou Ship Channel Bridge established by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group Co., Ltd., the manufacture and installation of more than 164,000 tons of steel box girders undertaken by Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry Group Co., Ltd., and the world's first deep immersed tunnel constructed by the Second Harbor Engineering Company of China Communications Construction Company.

Hubei also plays an important role in the operation of China-Europe freight trains. By July 31, 2018, China-Europe (Wuhan) freight trains has made 1001 trips, accounting for one-tenth of China’s total, with the return trains reaching 548 trips.
