7th Military World Games to send invitation letters to 138 member states

From June 26 to June 30, Hervé Piccirillo, the President of the International Military Sports Council (CISM), was invited to inspect the preparatory progress for the 7th Military World Games (MWG) in 2019 in Wuhan, capital city of central China’s Hubei Province. He appreciated the preparatory work by the Chinese event organizers, and signed the 7th Military World Games invitation letter on behalf of CISM.

During the inspection, a conference was held to discuss work on TV broadcast of the event, market development cooperation, environmental protection, as well as the solidarity and mutual assistance program.

Hervé Piccirillo reckoned that the upcoming MWG will be an impressive international military sports event, adding that the International Military Council will fully support the preparation work in terms of technology, logistics, and organizational experience.

From May 8th to the 14th this year, six project memos on skydiving, modern pentathlon, equestrian, five naval items, five military items, and orienteering were signed to define the standards of competition venues, competition equipment, and competition organizations; on June 29, the invitation letter of the 7th MWG in Wuhan was signed, followed by the invitation letters to 138 member states; in October, the invited countries will confirm their intentions; in January next year, the scale and number of participants will be confirmed; six months later in July, the final registration information will be submitted.
