China -Europe (Wuhan) freight trains lead the nation in operation ability

A freight train loaded with wood products bound for Wuhan from Russia's Tomsk arrived.

The first Central Asia-Horgos-Wuhan freight train will arrive in Wuhan in April, making Horgos the fifth entry-exit port for China-Europe (Wuhan) freight trains; the Xiangyang-Wuhan-Europe freight trains, expected to open in April, will connect three areas of Hubei FTZ along with the Yichang -Wuhan - Europe rail line operational at the end of last year.

The two good news indicate that the China-Europe (Wuhan) freight trains have taken the lead nationwide in terms of cargo service.

By the end of 2017, the China-Europe (Wuhan) freight trains have been able to run on 17 lines to 28 countries and over 60 cities in Europe, Central Asia and West Asia, such as the Czech Republic, Poland, Belarus, Russia, Germany and France, through Alashankou, Manzhouli and Erenhot ports. Later the same year in November, Wuhan Asia-Europe Logistics Co., Ltd cooperated with southern China’s Guangxi Province to make Pingxiang Port the new channel on the basis of transmodality. After the launching of Central Asia-Horgos-Wuhan freight trains in this March, the China-Europe (Wuhan) freight rail line ushers in the fifth entry-exit port.

Statistics show that, in 2017, the China-Europe (Wuhan) freight trains reached an actual load rate of 97.7 percent, ranking the first among China-Europe trains. The exported goods include motor vehicles and parts of 25.1 percent, textile and clothing products of 24.1 percent, electronic goods of 15.1 percent, machinery and equipment of around 10 percent.
