Hubei adds three state-level high-tech zones

China’s State Council approved the new state-level high-tech development zones in Hubei’s Jingzhou, Qianjiang and Daye Lake of Huangshi, according to the offical news released on March 6, 2018.

The Jingzhou High-tech Development Zone specializes in forest-pulp integration, high-end equipment manufacturing, textile processing, agri-food, modern agriculture and agricultural biotechnology.

The Qianjiang High-tech Development Zone has three pillar sectors, namely, the chemical industry, the mechanical industry and the textile industry.

The Huangshi Daye Lake High-tech Development Zone focuses on areas such as high-end equipment manufacturing, life and health, energy conservation, environmental protection, new materials , optoelectronics and modern services.

By now, Hubei boasts 12 national high-tech zones, ranking the top in central China. The other nine are in Wuhan East Lake, Xiangyang, Yichang, Xiaogan, Jingmen, Suizhou, Xiantao, Xianning and Huanggang, respectively.
