2017 Intangible cultural heritage exhibition along Yangtze River opens in Wuhan

On October 13, the 2017 Yangtze River Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition opened in Wuhan, capital city of central China’s Hubei Province.

This year's exhibition, themed with the civilization of the Yangtze River and the charm of intangible heritage, includes five branch exhibitions on traditional costume, traditional Chinese medicine, dietary culture, traditional arts and crafts and the research fruits on the intangible heritage of Hubei.

At the main exhibition venue Wuhan International Exhibition Center and other parallel sessions in 13 district in the city, spectacular skills of more than 1,000 intangible cultural heritage inheritors and 20,000 showpieces from 15 provinces and cities along the Yangtze River will be presented.

The exhibition will last for five days at no charge. Embroidery, paper cutting and lacquer art, the most distinctive intangible heritages in Yangtze basin will even be made for the visitors.
