The Imperial Bells of China concludes its tour to Australia and New Zealand

On July 26 (local time), The Imperial Bells of China presented a charming concert to audiences in Auckland, New Zealand, drawing its tour to Australia and New Zealand to an end.

Since the 1980s, The Imperial Bells of China has toured to 50 countries and regions in Europe, America and Southeast Asia. This is the first time that the concert was performed in New Zealand.

Zhang Heqing, culture consul from the Chinese Consulate-General in Auckland, said after watching the performance that he was very proud to see chime bell concert from hometown. He said, the activity showed the cultural exchanges among countries along the Belt and Road.

The tour of The Imperial Bells of China to Australia and New Zealand has achieved a great success with 99 percent of tickets sold in Sydney. The attendence rate and box-office were best among commercial performances of Hubei's operas overseas.
