Four districts of Hubei made into China’s most competitive counties on economic development

Four districts in Hubei, namely Yidu, Daye, Xiantao and Zaoyang, ranked among the top 100 most competitive Chinese counties or county-level cities on economic development in 2017, at the 80th, 82nd, 86th and 99th place respectively, according to a ranking list published by CCID Consulting.

According to the sources, 1,897 Chinese administrative regions at the county level have been taken into consideration for this ranking, which is based on 12 indicators, including economic strength, development potential, level of wealth and green development.

Till now, the eastern regions of China tower above this ranking list, occupying 76 places in total (23 for Zhejiang, 22 for Jiangsu and 21 for Shandong). The central regions this year have 15 places, 5 for Henan, 4 for Hubei and Hunan, 1 for Jiangxi and Anhui and 0 for Shanxi.
