China-Africa Research Center, China's first research institution built abroad, unveiled in Wuhan, capital city of central China's Hubei Province on May 8, 2017.

The construction project was launched in December 2014 and the work was completed in September 2016. At present the center is equipped with 6 specialized laboratories and 5 branches of research.

Now, the initiative of planting good quality crops in African countries has already achieved positive results. For example, the hybrid rice that the Sino-African research center planted in Kenya reached a production of 400-500 kilograms per mu, which is much more efficient than local rice.
