69 ancient tombs dated back to Qin Dynasty (221 BCE - 206 BCE) to Han Dynasty (206 BCE-220 CE) were unearthed in Xiangyang city, central China’s Hubei province, on January 4, 2017.

The tombs were discovered during a railway construction linking China’s Inner Mongolia and southeast China’s Jiangxi province. The pottery, ritual bronzes and iron objects found at the site have helped the archaeologists date the tombs back to the Qin and Han dynasties when China was transforming from bronze age to iron age.
