A China-Europe (Wuhan) freight train (aka “Wuhan-Xinjiang-Europe freight train”), which carried 87 million Yuan of cargos departed from Wuhan, capital of central China’s Hubei Province, on Aug. 14 and will arrive in Duisburg of Germany after 14 days. This is the 800th shift since the operation of China-Europe freight train in 2010.

As known, over 10 cities in China have opened direct railway trains with destinations in Europe and Central Asia, including Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe freight train, Wuhan-Xinjiang-Europe freight train and Zhengzhou-Xinjiang-Europe freight train.

Wuhan-Xinjiang-Europe freight train resumed regular operation on April 23, 2014. And 2015 has witnessed the opening of two-way freight trains linking Wuhan with Hamburg and Duisburg in Germany, as well as a “Russia-Manzhouli-Wuhan” timber train. With sharp increase of two-way supply of goods and shifts of trains, it is estimated that a total of 200 shifts will run between Wuhan and Europe.
