Wuhan authority approves to set up French international school

The first French international school in Wuhan, capital city of central China’s Hubei Province, was officially approved to set up, according to Hubei Provincial Department of Education on June 10, 2015.

Founded in 2008, this school is located in the inernational education institute of Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone, covering an area of 30,000 square meters. It aims to provide French education from kindergarten to high school for children of foreign workers who hold valid residence certificate in China.

Now, Wuhan owns the largest French investment among the Chinese cities with more than eighty French companies. There are over 1,000 Frenchmen reside in Wuhan for long time, and among which, more than a half live and work in Wuhan Economy and Technology Development Zone.

Wuhan municipal government invested 150 million yuan to build French International School to meet the education needs of French children. (hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
