Jingzhou Economic & Technological Development Zone

Jingzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone was founded in 1992, and was upgraded by the State Council to a State-level development zone in 2011.It became National Industrial Transfer Demonstration Region with other areas of Jingzhou in December, 2011. Since its establishment, government officials at all levels have paid frequent visits to supervise and direct work. After nearly 20 years’ development, Jingzhou Ecomomic and Technological Development Zone has built an extensive traffic network and fully equipped infrastructure. Its leading industries has their own distinguished characteristics, whose scale and developing speed rank the top in all economic zones in Hubei province. It has developed into an important economic growth pole, as well as a representative compact district of export-oriented economy.

Jingzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone lies in central China, on the middle reaches of Yangtze River. Transportation is very convenient with a network of roads extending in all directions. Here you can have easy access to up-to-date information. Enormous wealth is gathered and distributed here. In the Development Zone, Jingzhou port in Yangtze River-a first national class port, which has an annual throughout capacity of 25 million tons and whose Throughput Capacity of Container is 100,000 TEU per year, opens the business of international shipping, international freight forwarding and comprehensive logistics, and realizes water-and-rail coordinated transport, warehouse bond and water-and-land transfer. National highways No.318 and No.207, Taiyuan-Macao expressway and Shanghai-Chengdu expressway interweave here. Shanghai-Chengdu High-speed Railway and Jingmen-Yueyang Railway cross the development zone, and Jingmen-Jingzhou railway integrates with Jiaozuo-Zhicheng railroad line here. It is only 40 minutes’ ride from Three-Gorges International Airport and 2 hours’ ride from Wuhan Tianhe International Airport. It has constructed Cargo Logistic Area, Railway Logistic Area and Port Logistic Area. It has not only convenient water and land transportation, but also reaches major rivers and sea.
